A new wave of so-called ’housing inspections’ has begun in the temporarily occupied city of Donetsk. According to the National Resistance Centre, people are being forcibly evicted from their flats and moved to hostels, whilst their homes are being declared unfit for habitation even on the basis of minor damage. 06 july 2026
In occupied Donetsk, people are being evicted from their own apartments, which have been declared "emergency" - the Central Committee of the Ukrainian National Security Service (CNS) in Donetsk declares even houses with minimal damage as "emergency". Residents are being forced to move to dormitories, risking losing their property rights without compensation.
