IDF soldiers destroy Khan Yunis terror tunnel, dismantle terror infrastructure across Gaza
KHAN YUNIS, GAZA STRIP, JUL 10 – The Golani Brigade eliminated over 1,300 Hamas terrorists and dismantled more than 130 terror sites to prevent future threats to Israeli civilians, the IDF said.
IDF troops from the Golani Brigade located and dismantled a 500-meter-long terror tunnel in Khan Yunis, Gaza, eliminating dozens of terrorists and over 130 terrorist infrastructure sites.
The operation involved weapon stockpiles, booby-trapped buildings, observation posts, and launch positions aimed at Israeli forces, emphasizing the IDF's commitment to civilian protection.
General Eyal Zamir stated, "We will continue to act with determination, perseverance, strength, and wisdom" to defeat Hamas and secure the return of hostages.
The IDF has confirmed the deaths of several senior Hamas operatives involved in planning attacks against Israeli civilians, as part of ongoing military operations in Gaza.
