A life-sentenced prisoner who murdered two people and wounded seven in Hyvinkää has applied for parole. According to the Court of Appeal, approximately 13 years in prison is still too little.
The man who shot two people dead and injured two others in the 2012 mass shooting in Hyvinkää will not be released on parole, the Helsinki Court of Appeal has ruled.
The Helsinki Court of Appeal issued its decision in the case today, June 2. Hyvinkää shooter Eero Samuli Hiltunen, 31, will not be released. The Helsinki Court of Appeal has recently rejected Hiltunen's parole application. The Criminal Sanctions Agency did not support Hiltunen's release.
