DOGE cuts yield $1.1M loss to state humanities group that funded North Augusta, Aiken projects
North Augusta and Aiken have benefitted from grants dispersed by South Carolina Humanities, but DOGE cuts to the National Endowment for the Humanities have left the nonprofit out $1.1 million a year and operating on just 20% of its budget.
DOGE cuts museums’ funding
Earlier this month, it was announced that the Trump administration would be cutting funding to museums and cultural institutions nationwide, resulting in the cancellation of hundreds of thousands of dollars in previously awarded grants to local museums in northwestern Wyoming.
