According to the most recent data of the Pew Research Center are the only confession to have a lower number of faithful than that of 2010, with a decrease of 18.6 million faithful. Effect of the diffusion in Countries strongly marked by the crisis of births but also of the changes in the youth world of societies of Southeast Asia. Even the average age close to 40 years is the highest among the faithful of the different religions.
The latest Pew Research Center study on how the global religious landscape has changed from 2010 to 2020 confirms that Christians remain the largest religious group, but Islam has been the fastest growing religious group in the past decade. The Pew report, published June 5, “How the Global Religious Landscape Changed from 2010 to 2020,” includes data from more than 2,700 sources, including censuses, demographic studies, and population registers.…
