The hospital acknowledges that the vaccination rule has been waived by the state. Former nurse Terry Poland, who was fired and denied unemployment benefits, expressed her refusal to return to the facility due to the way she was treated.
- Some nurses who were fired and later fought back in court have been successful. Nurse Wendy Cooper has been ordered to be reinstated and negotiate retroactive pay and benefits. The arbitrator's decision upholding Cooper's termination was found to be irrational, violative of public policy, and contrary to the interests of justice.
- Roswell Park Comprehensive Care Center, where Cooper worked, plans to appeal the decision.
