The leader of the Third Reich was a voracious reader. He was a bibliophile, perhaps even a bibliomaniac. He progressed from adventure books to philosophy and from occult sciences to military knowledge. He was not uneducated. This has been investigated in his research by, among others, Timothy W. Ryback.
