Highway Guide Rail for Cars
Current electric cars, from what I understand, are still limited by having a relatively short range before they run out of power and need to be recharged, which is a slow process. But here's a solution from the 1960s: if they could connect to a power rail on highways, that would solve the range issue. We'd just need to add power rails to all the highways.
