- On July 24, 2025, HandsFree Labs, Inc. sued Skechers USA, Inc. for patent infringement in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas.
- HandsFree Labs, Inc., founded in 2017, holds over 200 patents and has licensed its technology to Nike, Inc. since 2019.
