Months before deal with Pakistan, Trump-linked US drone firm signed pact with India
Months before its September deal with the Pakistan Army, Trump-linked US drone firm Powerus had signed a pact with India’s Paras Defence in June to manufacture and commercialise its Guardian-1 counter-drone system in India.
Paras Defence has acquired an exclusive license for Powerus' Guardian-1 anti-drone technology in India. This agreement, due in June 2026, will promote indigenous manufacturing. Powerus is known as a Trump-linked company.
How a Trump-Linked Drone Company Ended Up Doing Business With Both India and Pakistan
The dual dealings have drawn scrutiny partly because of the company's ownership structure. Powerus is expected to merge with Nasdaq-listed Aureus Greenway Holdings in early October, a company in which Donald Trump Jr and Eric Trump hold a stake through an investment fund. A spokesperson for Trump Jr said he is a passive investor with no involvement in Powerus's operations or in securing the Pakistan contract, according to reports.
