MARCH 26, 2025 – On a chilly and dusty morning at Fort Irwin, aka the “Sandbox,” four Oregon Army National Guard CH-47F Chinook helicopters are loaded up with Soldiers from the 82nd Airborne Division’s Combat Aviation Brigade and equipment from the Army Futures Command, as they begin testing on a field training exercise March 9-14.
