Green SM Launches Green SM Limo, a Fully Electric Taxi Service in India

- Vietnam-Based mobility company Green SM launched its electric taxi service, Green SM Limo, on Thursday in Delhi-NCR, marking its official entry into India as the fifth country where it operates.
- Unlike competitors Uber and Rapido, Green SM owns the cars operating on its platform; the fleet uses the VinFast Limo Green, a 7-seater SUV offering zero emissions and smooth performance.
- Passengers booking via the Green SM app receive a 50 per cent promotional discount from June 5 to June 11, 2026, saving up to Rs 250 per ride; vehicles include interior and exterior cameras for safety.
- GSM Global Chief Executive Officer Nguyen Van Thanh said the company plans to deploy around 10,000 vehicles in India, stating "We come to India with respect for the market."
- Green SM also introduced the Green Alliance Frontier, a platform featuring five Indian partners from sustainability sectors, while the service will focus initially on daily commuting, airport transfers, and business travel.
