The Parisian elected representative, who was to go to the meeting of the democratic elected representatives this Sunday, was denied a visa by the American authorities, despite the support of the French government.
The member of the environmental and social group Pouria Amirshahi was denied a visa for the United States, when he wanted to meet with democratic parliamentarians.
The parliamentarian, born in Iran, co-initiator of "La Digue", an "international" project to fight the extreme right, had planned to meet with American parliamentarians and members of civil society.
Paris MP Pouria Amirshahi announced that his application for a stay overseas had been rejected, despite obtaining a written note from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This trip was part of an international project against "the far right".
The 53-year-old Franco-Iranian MEP denounces a "political decision", when he wanted to meet with democrat parliamentarians in particular.
