- Safflower received the largest increase of 10.32 per cent to Rs 7,215 per quintal, while rapeseed and mustard rose 6.66 per cent to Rs 6,613; masur climbed to Rs 7,390 and gram to Rs 5,958.
- Farmers will receive an estimated Rs 90,962 crore in total payouts under the revised MSPs for the 2027-28 marketing year, while the government set a wheat production target of 121 million tonnes for 2026-27.
- These revised MSPs arrive ahead of the upcoming rabi sowing season, which typically begins in October in India, with harvesting scheduled to start in April.
