As they explain from the National Institute of Cybersecurity (INCIBE), "a campaign of fraudulent messages has been detected through SMS, in which cybercriminals pretend to be your son or daughter. They use an unknown phone number and claim that their mobile phone has been broken, asking you to communicate with them through WhatsApp. The aim of this scam is to trick the victim into making a payment."
