Golden Order of Merit of the Federation of Associations of Fighters for the Values of the National Liberation War of Slovenia

President Nataša Pirc Musar has issued an order awarding the Golden Order of Merit to the Federation of Associations of Fighters for the Values of the National Liberation War of Slovenia. She will present the decoration to the association on Thursday at a reception commemorating the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II.

Ljubljana, 8 May 2025 – The President of the Republic received participants in the national liberation struggle and awarded the Golden Order of Merit to the Association of Fighters for the Values of the National Liberation Struggle of Slovenia. These days mark 80 years since the end of World War II. It was on 8 May 1945 that the capitulation of Nazi Germany was declared.

President of the Republic Nataša Pirc Musar will today present the Golden Order of Merit to the Association of Fighters for the Values of the National Liberation War of Slovenia. The ceremony at the Presidential Palace to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II will also be attended by partisans who defended the homeland and co-created the foundations of a free state, the President's Office announced.
