Samsung remains a leader in the global smartphone market
South Korean technology giant Samsung has maintained its number one position in the global smartphone market in the second quarter, according to research firm Canalys. Apple, the US iPhone maker, remained in second place. Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi followed closely behind and recorded the strongest growth among the top five smartphone manufacturers in the world in the past quarter.
