Glasgow streets awash with colour for Pride march

GLASGOW CITY, SCOTLAND, JUL 19 – Around 5,000 people participated in Glasgow Pride 2025, with activists protesting corporate sponsorships linked to Israeli violence and calling for ethical partnerships, organizers said.

  • On July 19, thousands gathered at Kelvingrove Park for the annual Pride march, with road closures from noon Saturday and a free festival at Barrowlands Park.
  • No Pride in Genocide Glasgow relaunched its campaign in May, building on last year's bloc that comprised nearly half the march and demands published in February.
  • Performers including Miriana Conte, Kelly Llorenna, Subwoolfer and Karen Dunbar entertained the crowd, with the parade passing Sauchiehall and Ingram Street before dispersing at Barrowlands Park, with no separate blocs this year.
  • Hundreds formed a 'Radical Bloc' to protest Glasgow Pride’s ties to Israeli violence, with speakers from the Scottish Green Party, Strathclyde Palestine Solidarity Society and Trans Kids Deserve Better Scotland calling for refusal of partnerships with companies profiting from the occupation.
  • For those attending on Sunday, July 20, the festivities run from 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. with a $10 suggested donation, and Glasgow City Council notes accessible entry on John Street.
