Ice hockey world mourns: ex-DEB president Rainer Gossmann is dead

As a player he celebrated successes with the Düsseldorfer EG, reached the highest position in German ice hockey after his active career. Rainer Gossmann has now died. His former club announces details.

The Deutsche Eishockey-Bund e. V. (DEB) mourns for Rainer Gossmann. From 1995 to 2002 he was president of the DEB and during this time he shaped decisive years of the development of German ice hockey. As a player Rainer Gossmann became champion with the DEG in 1967, as treasurer he later celebrated titles in series. His presidency at the DEB ended with a scandal. Now he has died.
