This Saturday the Lucense route hosted the qualifying rounds of the Spanish GP before thousands of fans from all over Europe. Rubén Fernández is the great Spanish hope despite suffering a fall.

The Belgian Yamaha factory driver Jago Geerts surprisingly won the qualifying race for the Grand Prix of Spain in Lugo, Spain, ahead of Romain Febvre (Kawasaki) and Maxime Renaux (Yamaha).

Belgian Jago Geerts won the qualification for the MXGP World Championship race in Lugo, Spain. In the absence of the best Slovenian racer Timo Gajser, who will be out of the races for a long time due to shoulder surgery, the only Slovenian representative in the elite class, Jan Pancar, received a point for tenth place.
