This measure aims to limit the impact of rising international oil prices on motorists' budgets, while pump prices have reached historically high levels.
The date of April 7 was not chosen at random: it allows the energetician to attract the French to its stations on the roads during the long Easter weekend, until Monday included.
The company applies this limit of prices, to 1,99 euro per litre for petrol and 2,09 euros for diesel, since 12 March.
