From rare lands to copper controversy: a public conference of the University of Castilla-La Mancha on “sustainable mining” invites representatives of two companies denounced for their environmental irregularities

Yes to the Tierra Viva denounces to the rector the use of the institution to promote controversial extractive projects such as Quantum Mining in Ciudad Real or Cobre las Cruces in Seville. In this sense, the platform has presented a complaint to José Julián Garde López-Brea, rector of the UCLM, regarding the day organized on Thursday 10 April by the School of Mines of Almadén entitled “Mining today: sustainability and society“.
