Frisian States divided over expropriation for natural lands

An intention by the province of Friesland to investigate whether expropriation can be used to free up more land for nature is causing considerable division. A vote by the Frisian Provincial States on the plan did not result in a majority (21-21). As a result, another vote must be taken at the next State Assembly in May.
