In French Polynesia, several thousand people demonstrated on Saturday 6 September in Papeete to denounce the magnitude of the scourge of methamphetamine, which gangrene the archipelago. This synthetic drug, with stimulating power, is particularly addictive. And if it is still little present in metropolitan France, it pulls into Polynesia.
While the use of this drug affects all social classes in the territory, families and associations call for urgent action.
