The Euro MP of Calvados Emma Fourreau and some 20 Freedom Flotilla activists were arrested off the Gaza Strip by the Israeli army on Saturday evening, July 26th. A rally was held this Sunday, July 27th in Caen to demand their release.
On 26 July, Handala, the last ship of the "Flotilla for Freedom", was intercepted by the Israeli army in international waters off Gaza. The ship was carrying symbolic humanitarian aid and 21 activists including Europeans, including two French parliamentarians.
