The 27-year-old French woman confirms her progress, after achieving her first five Top 10s in the last thirteen months. In her seventh season and after 111 World Cup starts, she won her first medal.

Sofia Goggia of Italy overcame her disappointment at the Alpine World Ski Championships on Sunday by winning the Crans-Montana downhill (Switzerland), ahead of her compatriot Federica Brignone and Laura Gauché of France, who stood on a world podium for the first time.
