The first tunnel element for the new Scheldt tunnel, which left Zeebrugge on Friday, has arrived in the port of Antwerp. The 160-metre long and 60,000-ton colossus has travelled more than 100 kilometres across the North Sea and the Scheldt, transported by tugboats. It will be ‘parked’ in the Doeldok during the night.
