First payment made in $3.2M award in 2004 contentious Pa. divorce

WILLIAMSPORT — The first payment has been made of the $3.2 million jury award to a Shamokin area woman related to a contentious 2004 Northumberland County divorce.Notice was filed Friday in U.S. Middle District court that Jeffrey A. and Mariann Adams of Dornsife had paid in full the $400,000 settlement reached in December in bankruptcy court. The payment allows the couple to withdraw from bankruptcy.
