State Police confirm the man involved in a standoff with police in Cohoes on Tuesday died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The incident began around 9:20 p.m. Tuesday outside 268 Remsen St. in Cohoes. Police said Eli Cid Jr. was involved in a fight with two people and then ran inside the home when police arrived. He refused to come out.
