A private dead-end road in Blue Hill was closed late Tuesday afternoon as firefighters battled a fire at a home. The fire was initially reported just before 4 p.m. at a home on Allen Point Lane, which connects to Route 172 near the Sedgwick town line and serves a small group of homes overlooking Salt Pond.
