The morning of July 9th became a nightmare for the neighbors of Alfredo L. Jones Street in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. At 01:14 hours, the Emergency and Security Coordination Center (CECOES) 1-1-2 began to receive numerous alert calls. A fire in goods and furniture deposited on the public road spread quickly, reaching the facade of a six-storey residential building and filling it with smoke.
