Fire crews swiftly put out large blaze on Rockford's east side

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Rockford Fire quickly put out a large blaze in a house on Rockford's east side Saturday morning. Around 8:32 a.m., firefighters responded to a residential fire in the 4400 block of Eaton Drive. a 2nd alarm was called for additional manpower. Crews were able to control the blaze within 20 minutes. No injuries were reported, according to Rockford Fire. The fire caused $100,000 in damages to the home.
