Fate of run-down Akeley Depot under discussion

Akeley’s old depot is in disrepair. Shingles are falling off the roof, and the door jams. The depot is currently used as storage for the city and Paul Bunyan Days committee. Mayor Brian Hitchcock was approached by a committee member about fixing the door, but he said the city would “have to pour a lot of money” into the depot.
