Man Who Planned Attack on Israeli Embassy in London Jailed for at Least 20 Years
Abdullah Albadri was convicted of preparation of terrorist acts and possession of two knives after police stopped him at the embassy fence.
- On Monday, Mrs Justice Lambert sentenced Kuwait-born Abdullah Albadri to life in prison with a minimum term of 20 years for attempting a knife attack at the Israeli embassy in Kensington, London.
- Albadri, who arrived on a small boat 16 days before the April 2025 incident, told the Old Bailey he sought to "exact revenge" for the killing of children in Gaza.
- Police detained Albadri after he jumped the embassy fence armed with two knives; a jury previously found him guilty of preparing terrorist acts and possessing two bladed articles.
- Accounting for time already served on remand, the court adjusted the sentence to 18 years and 207 days before finalizing the life term.
- Court records showed Albadri, a failed asylum seeker, had entered the UK twice since August 2021 before the attack, arriving both times on small boats.
