Extremadura reaches 52,762 self-employed pensioners: its ageing 'threats pensions'

For the first time in history, the number of pensioners of the Special System of Self-employed Workers (RETA) has exceeded 2 million people in Spain, reaching 52,762 pensioners in Extremadura. According to the data of March 2025, this figure represents an increase of 725 people since the same month of 2021, representing an increase of 1.4% in the last four years.
