Experts perform crucial rescue after 'extremely rare' creature is found in distress: 'Once-in-a-career experience'

The barbastelle bat is among the rarest mammal species in the United Kingdom, but a person on a bicycle path stumbled across one of the elusive critters.  According to Burnham-on-Sea.com, the passerby came across the tiny creature, which appeared disoriented and exhausted.
