IPL 2026: Raghuvanshi to Miss Rest of Tournament Due to Injury, Confirms KKR
Angkrish Raghuvanshi could miss up to three months after a finger injury and concussion, and KKR must follow a mandatory seven-day stand-down period.
On Friday, the Kolkata Knight Riders confirmed that wicketkeeper-batter Angkrish Raghuvanshi has been ruled out of the remainder of the 2026 Indian Premier League after sustaining a concussion and finger fracture during Wednesday's match against Mumbai Indians.
The injury occurred in the 11th over when Raghuvanshi collided with teammate Varun Chakaravarthy while attempting a catch, leaving him with dizziness, headaches, and neck discomfort.
Accumulating 422 runs in 13 matches at an average of 42.20, the 20-year-old batter had scored five half-centuries, with his contributions central to Kolkata's playoff surge this season.
With Raghuvanshi sidelined, 23-year-old Delhi wicketkeeper-batter Tejasvi Singh Dahiya, who served as concussion substitute during the match, now faces a golden opportunity to cement his place in the side.
Kolkata sits in sixth place with 13 points and faces a critical final league fixture against Delhi Capitals on Sunday, where a victory is essential to maintain their playoff qualification hopes.
