Evacuation order issued for area near Big Bar Lake due to aggressive wildfire

Lightning strikes numbering over 4,000 across the province by Friday likely sparked the blaze, which has grown to an estimated 688 hectares since discovery that morning.
Separately, the TNRD issued an evacuation alert for about 12 properties near North Bonaparte Road on Friday concerning the Tin Cup Creek wildfire burning northeast of 70 Mile House.
Registration for Emergency Support Services is available at the Clinton Memorial Hall on LeBourdais Road, or via provincial online portal, though officials warn accommodation may be limited during emergencies.
BC Wildfire Service personnel and aircraft continue suppression efforts, though officials warned additional ignitions remain possible as hot, dry conditions return to the region in coming days.
