Emmerdale Fans 'Sorry' to See Popular Actor Leave ITV Soap After 7 Years
Johnson said he will leave the ITV soap after 7.5 years and hinted at an exit storyline, while he plans to focus on music next.
Actor Bradley Johnson confirmed he is leaving the ITV soap Emmerdale after 7.5 years during an appearance on This Morning, where he accidentally mentioned his "exit storyline" alongside soap expert Sharon Marshall.
Describing the cast and crew as a "big family," Johnson stated, "Seven and a half years, it's been an incredible journey," and explained he is seeking new opportunities before turning 30.
The actor plans to pursue music, which he had previously "put it on the back-burner," while also praising his on-screen mother Lisa Riley, whom he called a "friend for life."
While Johnson remained tight-lipped about the plot, he teased potential outcomes for character Vinny Dingle in next week's episodes, leaving uncertainty over whether Vinny faces jail or relocates to Ireland.
Social media users responded with messages of support, with many calling him a "Superb Interview a very Special Young Actor" and expressing sadness over his departure from the Dales.
