Emma Watson and Benedict Cumberbatch Back Prince William’s Environmental Initiative
Watson joined the forum to discuss climate leadership and nature protection, while United for Wildlife said the event focused on a shared responsibility to act.
Actress Emma Watson joined Prince William, Benedict Cumberbatch, CBE, and June Sarpong OBE at a business forum for The Royal Foundation's United for Wildlife during London Climate Action Week.
Watson previously supported the 44-year-old Prince William's Earthshot Prize, presenting the "Fix Our Climate" award at the inaugural ceremony in 2021 while advocating for climate action.
While onstage, the Harry Potter alum shared a humorous story from her film days, recounting how she mistakenly believed photographers with "very long lenses" were pursuing her, when they were actually tracking a rare bird.
Emphasizing the power of communication, Watson told the audience, "Storytelling is really powerful," arguing that brand transparency on environmental issues matters significantly for creating change.
Beyond environmental efforts, Watson has leveraged her platform as a UN Women Goodwill Ambassador, launching the HeForShe campaign and funding legal advice for women experiencing workplace harassment.
The actress attended a United for Wildlife forum during Climate Action Week (London), where she spoke about the importance of environmental protection.
