The TEPJF refuses to intervene in the process that opened up the INE against electoral councillors for stopping AMLO's recall consultation.
The Superior Chamber of the Electoral Tribunal of the Judiciary of the Federation (TEPJF) will vote today on a project by Judge Felipe Fuentes that proposes not to veto the investigation of the Internal Control Organ (OIC) of the National Electoral Institute (INE) against six councillors. Fuentes's approach is not to intervene, with the argument that it is a matter of administrative and not electoral responsibilities.
With the refusal to get involved, the judges endorsed the continuation of the procedure, considered a reprisal for voting in favour of postponing AMLO's recall consultation.
