Duff appointed Brentford assistant manager
Duff returns to football after a year away, bringing Premier League and Ireland coaching experience to Andrews’ staff.
On Friday, Brentford confirmed that Damien Duff has been appointed assistant manager, reuniting with manager Keith Andrews at the Premier League club.
Previously working together in the Irish coaching set-up, Duff and Andrews spent nine months under Stephen Kenny before Duff departed in January 2021.
Duff, 47, returns to football after a 12-month hiatus following his departure from Shelbourne, where he guided the team to a 2024 league title.
Andrews said that "Damien will bring experience, presence and a real level of detail," adding he is "very pleased" the former Blackburn winger is joining.
Brentford becomes the third west London club for the former Chelsea player, who also spent five seasons at Fulham and earned 100 caps as a player.
