Dorothy Pérez becomes the first woman to lead the Chilean Comptrollership

The Chilean Senate, with an opposition majority, has ratified on Monday by 46 votes in favour, one against and two abstentions, the appointment of Dorothy Pérez Gutiérrez as the South American country’s general counter-lord. Since December 18, 2023, the lawyer has been acting as a subrogant counter-lord after the vacancy left by Jorge Bermúdez and has become the first woman to lead the organization, which was created in 1927.
