Dog shot during Austin home invasion
Police are looking for an intruder who burst into a home and shot a dog Tuesday night in Austin on the West Side. A gunman broke into a home in the 1100 block of North Waller Avenue around 11 p.m. and fired shots inside the residence, striking the dog, Chicago police said. The dog was taken to MetVet Chicago in fair condition, police said. No arrests were made as Area 4 detectives investigate.
