LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, JUL 22 – Donovan Michaels alleges David Geffen exploited him and breached a lifelong financial support agreement after divorce filing, seeking compensatory damages in Los Angeles court.
- On Tuesday, Donovan Michaels sued David Geffen in Los Angeles Superior Court for breach of contract, claiming he was treated like a `living social experiment—a trophy to show off to his wealthy friends, under the guise of benevolence`.
- In May of this year, David Geffen filed for divorce despite an earlier oral pact in which he `orally and unambiguously agreed to generously support Armstrong for the rest of his life`, and the couple had married in 2023 without a prenuptial agreement.
- According to the complaint, Geffen required painful laser and dental treatments and supplied drugs and alcohol as `tools of coercion — lowering his resistance and increasing his dependency`.
- While represented by Samantha Spector and Laura Wasser, Michaels is seeking adequate support for his lifetime living expenses, a home that Geffen cannot reclaim, and wants the court to order Geffen to account for all property, earnings and income acquired during their relationship.
