The terminal, which is used to import liquefied natural gas (LNG), was completed and connected to the gas grid after a lengthy delay – partly due to supply problems. The special vessel "Excelsior" had already moored at the newly constructed island pier at the end of April 2025 and began feeding in gas after several weeks of test operation.
