'Associations': Major Michigan Newspaper Makes Stunning Endorsement
The Detroit News endorsed Republican Mike Rogers over Democrat Abdul El-Sayed in Michigan’s Senate race, calling Rogers “the prototype of a United States Senator.”
The newspaper praised Rogers’s congressional, military, FBI, intelligence, and cybersecurity experience, saying he was prepared for Senate leadership.
The newspaper criticized El-Sayed for removing social media posts and about 100 YouTube videos, saying the deletions made it difficult for voters to know his views.
The newspaper questioned El-Sayed’s policy positions, views on Israel, and associations with the Democratic Party’s left wing and Hasan Piker.
