One year and nine months after the arrest of their colleague by the junta of Ibrahim Traoré, a collective of twenty-four lawyers from eight countries is relaunching the offensive. They denounce an imprisonment that violates not only Burkinabe law, but also many international treaties.
In a long press release issued on Thursday, 9 October, defenders of the Burkinabè lawyer accused of "conspiracy against state security" and "association of criminals" judge his detention illegal and claim him to be the victim of an "unbearable denial of justice" which has only one objective: to keep his colleague in prison.
