Wetlands—the ecosystems that underpin global food production – provide countless benefits to society. Yet they are disappearing at an accelerating pace.
The deterioration of wetlands in Costa Rica was exposed on July 25 at the COP15 plenary session held in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. This is the main international forum on these ecosystems.
