- On Monday, the Aam Aadmi Party declared it will contest all 243 seats in Bihar ahead of the Election Commission of India’s schedule setting polls on November 6 and 11 with results on November 14.
- After earlier signalling entry in July, Aam Aadmi Party said it will contest Bihar independently despite being part of the INDIA bloc, aiming to replicate its Delhi and Punjab governance model.
- To begin its campaign, AAP named an initial list of 11 candidates, a mix of professionals and veterans including Dr Meera Singh — Begusarai and Bhanu Bharatiya — Kasba .
- AAP also declared its refusal to join local coalitions as state co-incharge Abhinav Rai said, `Our alliance is with the people of Bihar. We won't ally with any party or coalition`, and the party said campaign schedules will be announced shortly.
- Given Bihar's coalition history and the 2020 results, the NDA won 125 seats and the Mahagathbandhan 110, with voter turnout at 57.05 .
